Lesley Durham
Dear members,
It is with the greatest sadness that I announce the passing of my mum Lesley Durham after a brief and courageous battle against metastatic ovarian cancer. She died peacefully at home on 10th January with my sister Sarah and I at her side.
Many of you will know her as she has been a keen supporter of York Cricket Club since I joined in 1993. She was even one of our tea ladies before our new build was completed. Latterly, you will have seen her being pulled around the ground by her beloved dog Poppy!
Lesley will be dearly missed by so many friends & family.
If anyone wishes to join us for her funeral on Friday February 9th, arrangements are as below. Please note there is no obligation to do so, and your kind words have already been more than enough.
Cremation at York crematorium 12.20 pm; all invited but again no obligation ( a short 20 min service )
Followed by the main Celebration of Lesley’s life at St Mary’s Church, Boston Spa at 2pm (St Mary’s Church’s postcode is LS23 6DR, located on High Street, Boston Spa (the A659))
Please do come along after the service for refreshments at The Crown in Boston Spa ( opposite the church).
No flowers please. Donations in Lesley’s memory can be made using the link below and will be divided between St Gemma’s Hospice, York Oncology Unit, and St Mary’s Church which all gave huge support to Les & family. Donations can also be made on the day.

Thank you for all the kindness and thoughts many of you have already shared through cards, social media, and verbally. It has been of great comfort to myself and Sarah.
