The Presidents Lunch
The York Cricket Club President’s Pre-Season Lunch – Sunday 24th March 2019
The new season 2019 will begin with the President’s Lunch in The Houseman Suite on Sunday March 24th. We shall meet in the Club Bar at 12.30 p.m. for Lunch in the Houseman Suite at 1 p.m.
In a year when we look forward to hosting the first ever County Championship Match at Clifton Park, and only the second one ever to be played in York, this is a great opportunity for the membership to show their support in advance of what promises to be a wonderful occasion for the Club and for the City. The Lunch is open to all members, players both Junior and Senior and their families, and provides an opportunity to meet our Sponsors and Committee members who are working extremely hard to maintain the continued success that we have enjoyed for a considerable number of years.
During the proceedings there will be very short speeches by The President, The Chairman and Dan Woods captain of the Yorkshire League North Team and there will be a raffle promoted by Kevin Mendham the profits from which together with all other profits made on the day will go to the York Cricket Club.
We can cater for parties up to a maximum of twelve but if you are coming alone or as a couple we will make sure you sit with friends and people you know.
We have noted the wishes of members who want to return to the menu of a Hot Buffet of Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding along with a served Hot Pudding which will mean the cost will be £20.00 per person with children under 11 years at half price and for children under 6 years it will be free.
The upstairs bar will be open throughout the function and tea or coffee will be available after the meal.
Vegetarian meals should be requested when booking and well in advance.
